How to Get Better Sleep the Night Before Your Wedding Day

One of the hardest things to do before your wedding day is also one of the most important: sleep.

I get it—sleeping before the big day can feel nearly impossible. Between all the excitement and the never-ending to-do lists, it’s no wonder brides often find themselves running on adrenaline and caffeine. But if you want to wake up feeling refreshed and ready to say “I do,” getting a good night’s sleep the night before is key. Here are a few tips to help you get the rest you deserve.

1. Make a List
Chances are, your mind is already racing with everything you still need to do. Instead of letting it keep you up, try writing it all down. Getting those thoughts out of your head and onto paper will give your mind a break and allow you to relax. Keep a notebook by your bed (and no, not your phone!). Even if you just jot down a quick note, it’ll help calm your mind.

2. Do Not Disturb
Speaking of your phone, make sure to silence it or turn off notifications. The “Do Not Disturb” feature is a lifesaver here. Try limiting phone use to before you actually get in bed, too. I know we all love scrolling through our phones, but this little adjustment can help you wind down faster.

3. Breathe
Breathing is one of the simplest ways to relax before bed. Try this: Take three slow, deep breaths—hold at the top, then exhale slowly. It sounds simple, but it works. This little ritual helps send signals to your brain that it’s time to wind down and fall asleep.

4. Go Natural
If you’re still struggling to relax, consider turning to natural remedies instead of reaching for wine or sleeping pills. While wine may help you feel sleepy, it won’t give you the deep rest you need. Try herbal solutions like SomaLunex or Valerian Root, which can help calm your muscles and ease you into sleep. There are also other herbal remedies, like CBD, that some people find helpful for relaxing. If you’re interested, consult your doctor to see what might work best for you.

Getting a good night’s sleep before your wedding day is one of the best gifts you can give yourself. So relax, breathe, and enjoy the sweet dreams that come with it.

Goodnight and sweet dreams!
