Performing Arts Workshops LOL STAND-UP COMEDY Camp (for ages 9-14) is first and foremost a comedy camp! Beneath that, the kids are learning an incredible amount of public speaking and language arts skills. The camp is designed for beginners as well as experienced students.  The focus is placed on the comedian’s craft, including; improv, joke structure, sketch writing, speech & diction, as well as creating stage characters, and joke delivery.  Throughout the week, the kids develop a 3 to 5 minute set, and have the chance to perform it at the end of the week.  It’s a lot of fun, and the kids are laughing all week long while learning really valuable skills such as critical thinking, self-confidence, and language arts skills which will give them an edge for the following school year.  Many of their campers even come back for more than one session so they can continue to advance and polish their set.  With only up to 10 children allowed in each session, each child gets a lot of individual attention.
