Performing Arts Workshops’ ACTOR’S SIZZLE REEL CAMP is a blend of academics and filmmaking. The kids will get to write, direct, act-in, film and edit their own Sizzle Reel…which will be an edited video compilation of each child’s best 3 performances. The campers will have the opportunity to explore roles and scenes spanning a variety of acting genres including commercial, comedy, action, theatrical, newscaster and even voiceover.
The curriculum will also provide instruction on storyboarding, script writing, and the campers will even learn how to “film crew” for each other. They will also have classes in
acting technique, diction & accents, and character study to help them create their filmed clips! To participate kids, need to be between the ages of 9 to 14 and each camper will receive a flash drive of their Sizzle Reel to share and enjoy at home. With only up to 10 children allowed in each session, each child gets a lot of individual attention. Performing Arts Workshops was even named BEST Summer Camp in LA Parent Magazine.
